Renaissance Man and I like to eat, cook, and shop for food. I am the only known two-time breast cancer patient to survive chemotherapy (twice), radiation, and multiple surgeries and still gained weight! What can I say?…I love food especially when it doesn’t taste like old dirty socks or metal shavings (although almost everything does when you have massive amounts of chemicals pumped into your body). My latest discovery in the foodie world is….pomegranate molasses. It makes for a distinctive, deep and sweet flavoring to salad dressings especially when paired with endive, kale or arugula. It needs to match up with a green that has some spicy element and is not too whimpy. I wonder what else this top secret, Lebanese serum could enhance? Let me know if you have suggestions or recipes to share. Below is one I stole from The Bobby Flay.
1/4 cup pomegranate molasses
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 heaping tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey, or more to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
